Hi Beauts!

I cannot believe Tolaraye is 5 today! Technically it's meant to be the first birthday but I started blogging in 2012 and I lost all my old posts which is why there isn't a lot of post on the blog anymore. *Sniff* (By the way, this is the first time I have ever celebrated my blog since I started blogging). This blog has come a long way from changing the name to Tolaraye after it was originally known as Miss Dimples Blog, and also upgrading the blog design to a more advance layout. It has really come a long way! Overall there has been numerous changes and I am just so happy and content with what it looks like now and where it’s going. Back in the days I wasn't really consistent with posting on the blog which is why it was on a stand-still and didn't grow at all; and you probably didn't even know it existed.

When I started blogging in 2012 I hardly got any visitors due to this, but now I get visitors from around the world including places I have never heard of. It is just amazing to see this blog grow from nothing to something fab, and I pray it continues to grow day by day.

The girl behind the blog?
Blogging is one of the things that I love doing and I am glad I didn’t stop when I was confused with what direction I wanted the blog to go. All I thought about back then was the views and not so much the contents itself. Now I just blog because I love it, it is a hobby I enjoy doing and I love engaging with different people, with you guys, even if it’s just through the blog comment section. I just want to give all my readers a BIG BIG BIG HUG because I am just so happy with all the love I receive daily on this blog! From the views, to the comments, to sharing it with people. Thank you.
Also before I forget, I wanted to let you all know that you are going to see more of the girl behind the blog next year! It won't longer be the cartoon logo, but for now it will have to stay like that.

Is there ever going to be a YouTube channel for Tolaraye? I am still thinking about doing YouTube but maybe not now but in the future. I don't want to jump into it without thinking it through. Believe me, I really want to do it but I don't think I am ready for it yet, in terms of equipment and what direction I want to go with it. Anyways I will let you guys know more about the update on starting YouTube later!

P.S I will be doing a giveaway very soon! This will happen when I reach 10,000 views. Please keep sharing and who knows, you might be the lucky winners. [A little Hint: There will be 3 winners]

Acknowledgement: Thank you to the people that have pushed me to continue to do this and keep going. My family, Close friends and you my beautiful readers!

BONUS: 5 inspirational bloggers you need to check out:

Once again thank you for all the love and support!
Until next time xo

Hi Babes,
Are you currently looking for an internship, work experience or a placement? If yes, continue reading..

So I have been wanting to write this for the past few weeks now and it kept skipping my mind. Today I am going to be sharing some tips on what steps to take when you are searching for an internship or work experience to get that first-hand experience in companies/agencies that specialises in sectors you want to pursue in the future.
I started searching for internships and work experiences since my first year at university but then I realised I was looking for them in the wrong places. I realised this when I visited different (job/internship/placement) sites and most of the vacancies posts had expired! Also, location was a problem as some places had more jobs available than the other. Sometimes these sites are very effective for graduates jobs and permanent jobs, but in terms of a month or two work experience it isn’t.
If you have been searching and you haven’t found anything then the steps I am about to share will help you a lot, trust me.

How did I manage to get an internship with a huge PR and Marketing company?

STEP 1: The first thing I did was googling something like ‘PR and Marketing companies in XXXX’.

STEP 2: After googling this, you then look through all the companies you find that are near you and write them all down. At the same time you need to look through each company’s sites and see what they do and so on.

STEP 3: Then you write down the ones you think are suitable for you including their contact details. Although some companies have a page where you could email them through there, still try and find their contact details. This is because when you send them an email through that page, they don’t seem to get it which leads to you not getting any email from them at all.

STEP 4: You need to call up these companies! Before doing this make sure you have your CV and drafted email ready. The drafted email is basically you selling yourself further! You also need to draft what you are going to say to the person on the phone so you don’t mumble or forget anything important. I would also advise you to call them first rather than emailing them because companies are always very busy and they never have the time to look through work experience emails. Calling them first can help you a great deal because then you can get the manager's personal email for example.

STEP 5: If you email them first and you haven’t gotten any reply for a week and half then I would say you should call them up and ask if they’ve received your email. This way they will kind of see that you are very keen on gaining work experience with them.

That’s basically it!
If you want me to write another post on my work experience interview, please let me know by commenting below!
If you also have any more questions and you want detailed answers, email me at and I shall reply you as soon as I can!

Until next time beauts! xo

 Hey Beauts!
Welcome back to my blog!
Today's post is all about what I put in my bag during summer semester at university.
I don't really put a lot of things in my bag, but here is a list of what is always in my bag -

  • Vaseline Lip Balm
  • Hand Cream
  • A notebook
  • A pen
  • A pair of headphones
  • Small water bottle
  • Extra Chewing Gum
Well, there is my list.
What do you normally have in your bag? Comment Below!

Moreover, I got this bag last summer from New look. It was on sale, and it cost around £10.
I don't think they still sell it, but check the website just in case they still do.

Things I love about this bag?
  • Its a perfect size for a summer bag.
  • It looks chic!
  • Its gorgeous.
  • It looks good with everything you wear!
  • You cant really fit a lot of things in it. (e.g A4 notebook)
  • The wool is starting to come out after few months of having it, which is quite annoying.
But overall, I actually love this bag.
That is all for today!
Until next time babes xo

Hi Beauts!

Is it me or the weekend went by so fast this week! And it has been raining cats and dogs for the past week now *sigh*. I am just hoping the sun comes out next week because I am quite over this dull weather.

Talking of dull stuff, what do you do when you are having a dull day? I have like 5 main things that I do that definitely cheers me up. Having a dull day is normal because there is always going to be one day that you just feel completely down, and emotional for no reason. Mine usually happens when my ‘red roses’ starts. P.s I call period 'red roses' because I think it makes it sound nicer lol. #FunFactAboutMe I don’t really like the period word. It sounds yucky to me haha.

Anyways, I am going to be sharing my 5 ways of getting through a dull day but before I do that let me drop a quick #disclaimer here. I need to disclaim that these tips are what helps ME feel better, some might work for you but they are not certain to make YOU as an individual feel better. You can definitely pick out one from this list and try it out. But also remember that you need to find things that are best suited for you.
It might be one of these things: What do I do to overcome a dull day?
  1. Go For A Walk.
  2. Watch Vlogs: I would recommend vloggers like – PatriciaBright, ShirleyBEniang & TheSacconneJolys
  3. Listen to cheerful music: Create a playlist that includes music you will dance to, no matter how you're feeling.
  4. Watch (Comedy) TV Shows: I would recommend TV Shows like Big bang theory & Friends.
  5. Pamper Yourself: Have a bubble bath, Do a skin clear regime, light candles and read a novel/magazine.
  6. Bonus Tips: Pray (If you are prayerful), and think of positive things that you can be thankful and grateful for.
And that’s it!
Comment Below and Let me know what you do to overcome a dull day!
Would love to try new things.

All I do on Tumblr nowadays is look at interior decor and I always want to share my favourites with you lot. Sharing is caring right? I feel like you will get some inspirations for your dinning rooms, am I wrong or am I right? My favourite dinning room decor will have to be the picture with the rose gold lamp, white chairs and a rug. I used to love all simple and all white, but I am kind of over that decor now. I want something that gives me modern chic vibes and Kourtney Kardashian's interior style. Let me know in the comments which decor you would go for, if you are maybe thinking of redecorating your dining room?

Hi Beauts!
Happy New Month!
How are you all doing today?
August is here. And guess what? It’s Tolaraye’s [blog] birthday month!

Some of you heading to Uni this year [UK peeps] will know that result day is fast approaching, and I know some of you are anxiously waiting to find out what you’ve got or if you've made it into University.
[SOURCE: Tumblr

Before I continue with this post, I just want to say that I am back!
I took a mini break from blogging because I couldn’t come up with new ideas for the blog [typical], and I also wanted to take a break just to enjoy summer a little bit. If you are living in England, you will know that this particular break was needed as the weather was just an absolute G the past few weeks.
Mother Nature really came through for us! haha.
It was really hot though, but who am I to complain since I have been moaning about how cold it was lol.

Here are 5 tips on how to cope with result day stress:

Organisation is key: You need to have a plan ready for the day so you can be prepare for whatever happens, good or not so good. It’s better to be prepared for anything so you don’t panic when you need to take action. Bonus tip: Always have at least 5 universities lined up just in case things doesn’t go as planned.

Pamper yourself the day before so you can have a good night sleep before the day.

Binge watch your favourite TV series or Movies the day before, so you don’t think too much about the result day.

Do not check any grade boundaries before the day because that will stress you out even more!

Try distressing your body by doing exercise, or even getting a massage.
I hope this tips helps some of you! I wish I read something like this when I was getting my results few years ago. It would have calmed me down a whole lot.

Anyways that’s it!
If you have any more suggestions or tips on how to cope with result day stress, please do not hesitate to comment below and share it with us!

Good-luck to anyone collecting their results this month!

Until Next time!

Hey Beauts!
Guess who's back again with another recipe, Moi!
If you follow me on Twitter ( @Fuchsiafleur ) you will know that I promised to post a recipe this weekend. Well here it is!

What do I need?
  • 2 Sweet Potatoes
  • A bag of (ready to eat) spinach
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Vegetable Oil

Step one: Cut the sweet potatoes into circle shapes (or any other shapes you like).

Step two: Pre-heat the oven at 100 degrees.
Step three: Put the sweet potatoes in a bowl.

Step four: Add vegetable oil, black pepper and salt. Then MIX MIX MIX!

Step five: After mixing everything together, cover the oven tray with foil and then separate the sweet potatoes on it like I did in the picture. Now put them in the oven and turn it up to 180-200 degrees.

Step six: Now its time to fry the spinach! To do this, you need to first put a little bit of vegetable oil in the pan. when its a bit hot, add the spinach. [ in between Low and medium heat]

Step seven: Sprinkle small amount of black pepper and salt on top of the spinach as it cooks. You can also add a pinch of Know/Maggi if you want!
[One thing you don't want is the spinach to be too rich with spices, because the subtle it is the better. The reason for making it subtle is because it will deliciously compliment the sweet potatoes.]

Step eight: Check on the sweet potatoes! Bring them out of the oven and turn them over so the other side can be as crisp as the other side.

Step nine: Put them back in the oven and wait for about 10-15 minutes. (make sure you keep checking on them)

Step ten: bring them out! Turn off your oven and its time to serve!

And there you have it!
Roasted sweet potatoes and fried spinach.

If you've got any questions,
comment below or email me directly!
I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Until next time
